Brad Upton

Special Event Downtown

Brad Upton

Brad Upton, a veteran comedian, is gaining newfound recognition after 36 years in standup. Originally a fourth-grade teacher and high school track coach, Brad began his comedy career in 1984 and left teaching in 1986. Based in Seattle, he performed nationwide, opened for major music acts, and entertained at corporate events without relocating to LA or New York.

Brad's career highlights include winning the Las Vegas Comedy Festival in 2002, appearing at Caesars Palace during the HBO Comedy Festival, and touring with Joan Rivers. For 15 years, he opened for Johnny Mathis and performed alongside stars like Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, and Jeff Foxworthy.

In 2018, Brad's special on Dry Bar Comedy catapulted him to internet fame when a clip went viral, amassing nearly 90 million views. This surge in popularity led to his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2019, where he is now a regular guest. Brad's comedy appeals to a wide age range, and he continues to tour extensively, embracing his late-career success, especially after a significant health scare in 2022.
